Training Information

We ask that all volunteers commit to 36 hours of training and that they respond to five incident or service calls (slash pile burning, chipping or fundraising activity) each year.

New volunteers need to take S130 and S190 wildfire training classes, through the Wildland Fire Learning Portal.  Accessing this portal requires a separate login and password, "Request New Account". The field day for these classes is offered at different times, usually in May.

Also, through this portal, you can access bundled wildland training that includes ICS‑100, ICS‑700, S‑130, S‑190, and L‑180, but you have to be logged into the Wildland Fire Learning Portal.

All volunteers need to have a current CPR/AED certificate.  Generate a training report for individual (online) training or courses are offered several times during the year through PCFPD.

When completed, copies of the certificates should be given to Hugh Collins, Fire Chief and Tony Falbo, Training Officer.
